Alkaline Hydrolysis: Imprudent in its Current Context was written in the summer of 2018 at the request of the Archdiocese of St. Louis after an Alkaline Hydrolysis center was established in the Archdiocese. The position was adopted as the official position of the Archdiocese of St. Louis and was the basis of the position taken by the Missouri Catholic Conference.
